I am those magnets with words on them that people put on their refrigerators and arrange into poems, usually silly and trite but occasionally brilliant: mother, writer, lover, friend, neurotic, sparkly, quiet, shy, impulsive, dark. I am too skinny, dress funny, and talk to spiders and flowers and small children as if they were people. I don't know what else to say.
